Oil and Gas Processing Drawings

This course develops the skills required to use and interpret P and IDs for plant/equipment for oil and gas processing operations. 

It is designed for individuals wishing to progress to a career as a Process Technician and also would also be relevant for individuals who would like to develop a basics understanding of, and/or some basic skills in, processing operations e.g., Maintenance Technicians. 

Learning Objectives : 

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to: 

  • Use P and IDs to describe integrated processing systems for oil and gas processing operations 
  • Interpret P and IDs for integrated systems for oil and gas processing operations 

 

Prerequistes :

It is recommended that learners complete the OPITO Global 1 Training Certificate: Basic Oil and Gas Processing or equivalent training before undertaking this Training Certificate. 

In particular, it is recommended that the learners have attended Basic Oil & Gas Processing Drawings prior to attending this unit.

 

Teaching methods :

The course will be 100% delivered by means of practical exercises using real-life P&IDs. When needed, the course will refer to the training material used for the training unit “Basic Oil & Gas Processing Drawings“. Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition. Assessment are carried out using real-life P&IDs from the Oil & Gas industry.
