Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Small Bore Tubing
This unit develops an understanding of the function, operation and routine maintenance requirements associated with small bore tubing. It is recommended that An Introduction to Instrument and Control: Process Measurement Systems and Equipment is completed before undertaking this Unit and that Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Small Bore Tubing is completed in conjunction with this Unit.
Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Outline the function and operation of small bore tubing.
- Outline typical signs of fault, damage, wear and corrosion in small bore tubing.
- Describe typical routine maintenance requirements of small bore tubing.
- Equipment – small bore tubing.
- Routine maintenance techniques for small bore tubing.
- Technical information and guidelines.
Teaching methods :
- The course will be delivered by means of classroom lectures and practical workshop exercices.
- Workshop practice content: Identifying and naming faults or damage on a piece of equipment and/or describe the sequence of dismantling a piece of equipment.
- Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition.
