Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Metering Devices and Fiscal Metering

This unit develops an understanding of the function, operation and routine maintenance requirements associated with metering devices and fiscal metering and fiscal metering. It is recommended that An Introduction to Instrument and Control: Process Measurement Systems and Equipment is completed before undertaking this Unit and that Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Metering Devices and Fiscal Metering is completed in conjunction with this Unit.

Learning Objectives : 

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Outline typical signs of fault, damage, wear and corrosion in metering devices and fiscal metering.
  • Describe typical routine maintenance requirements of metering devices and fiscal metering.

  • Technical information and guidelines.

 

Teaching methods :

  • The course will be delivered by means of classroom lectures and practical workshop exercices. 
  • Workshop practice content: Assessments can also be combined with other units where relevant, for example, Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Metering Devices and Fiscal Metering.
  • Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition.
