Health and Safety in Oil and Gas Processing Operations
This course develops the skills and knowledge required to work safely in an oil and gas processing environment.
It is designed for individuals wishing to progress to a career as a Process Technician and also would also be relevant for individuals who would like to develop a basics understanding of, and/or some basic skills in, processing operations e.g., Maintenance Technicians.
Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Outline the function of schematics and process flow diagrams for oil and gas processing operations
- Identify the meanings of codes and symbols used on schematics and process flow diagrams
- Identify the flow path for sections of process plant for oil and gas processing operations
- Interpret schematics and process flow diagrams for sections of process plant for oil and gas processing operations
Prerequistes :
There are no specific entry requirements however, it is recommended that learners complete the OPITO Global Foundation Training Certificate: Introduction to Oil and Gas Processing or equivalent training before undertaking this training certificate.
Teaching methods :
- The course will be delivered by means of classroom lectures and skills training exercises
- Workshop practice content: not required for this course.
- Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition.
