Electrical Maintenance Techniques: Cells, Batteries and Uninterruptable Power Supply Systems
Electrical Maintenance Techniques: Cells, Batteries and Uninterruptable Power Supply Systems.
Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Outline the function and operation of cells, batteries and uninterruptable power supply systems.
- Outline typical signs of fault, damage, wear and corrosion in cells, batteries and uninterruptable power supply systems.
- Describe typical routine maintenance requirements of cells, batteries and uninterruptable power supply systems.
- Equipment – cells, batteries and uninterruptable power supply systems.
- Routine maintenance techniques for cells, batteries and uninterruptable power supply systems.
- Technical information and guidelines.
Teaching methods :
- The course will be delivered by means of classroom lectures and practical workshop exercices.
- Written questions could be supported by oral questions using equipment in the workshop – for example, identifying and naming faults or damage on a piece of equipment and/or describe the sequence of dismantling a piece of equipment.
- Assessments can also be combined with other units where relevant, for example, Electrical Maintenance Practice: Cells, Batteries and Uninterruptable Power Supply Systems.
- Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition.
