An Introduction to Oil and Gas Processing

This course is intended for participants with either very little or no prior experience of a processing workshop or processing plant environment. It is also suitable for individuals wishing to progress to a career as a Process Technician and also for individuals who would like an overview of processing operations.

Learning Objectives : 

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to: 

  • Describe typical product flows in oil and gas processing operations 
  • Explain the basic function of process plant and equipment in oil and gas processing operations 
  • Describe the role of key utilities/services in oil and gas processing operations  
  • Describe the role of safety and protection systems. 

 

Teaching methods :

  • The course will be delivered by means of classroom lectures and skills training exercises 
  • Workshop practice content: not required for this course. 
  • Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition.
