Basic Engineering Communications
This unit develops the skills required to use engineering drawings/diagrams and written engineering instructions in the context of maintenance tasks.
Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Interpret engineering communications and symbols
- Prepare basic twodimensional drawings
- Basic engineering symbols and communication tools
Teaching methods :
- The course will be delivered by means of classroom lectures and practical workshop exercices.
- Workshop practice content: Production of a twodimensional drawing of engineering objects to scale with relevant dimensions. Learners must be provided with relevant instructions/specifications.
- Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition.
