Basic Health and Safety in Maintenance Workshops

Learning Objectives : 

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to: 

• Describe safe working practices and procedures for a maintenance workshop. 
• Create a basic risk assessment for workshop maintenance tasks. 
• Demonstrate safe working practices in a maintenance workshop. 

Teaching methods :

• The course will be delivered by means of classroom lectures and skills training exercises. 
• Workshop practice content: Carry out basic risk assessment via a hazard hunt & identify the safe system of work procedures, fire Muster points and any workshop emergency measures. 
• Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition.
