An Introduction to Health and Safety in Maintenance Workshops
This unit develops the skills required to gain the introductory skills and knowledge required to work safely in a maintenance training workshop environment.
Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the concepts of hazards, risks and ALARP in the O&G maintenance workshop
- Describe safe working practices for oil and gas maintenance workshop
- Identify and describe potential hazards and risks in a maintenance workshop
- Demonstrate safe working practices in a maintenance workshop
- Explain the importance of communication and teamwork for safe oil and gas training workshop
- Understand Health and safety for a maintenance workshop
- Provide typical example of health, safety and emergency procedures in a training workshop
Teaching methods :
- The course will be delivered by means of classroom lectures and skills training exercises
- Workshop practice content: not required for this course.
- Pre & post course tests are performed to measure knowledge acquisition.
